PAVLIK BANDAGE
It is a pavlik bandage made of polyamide material designed according to the child’s anatomy and softened with terry cloth (AuraTerry) around the booties, shoulders and chest. The bandage is a dynamic splint that keeps the hip joint in the desired flexion, abduction position and provides safe hip range of motion. Tightening the anterior arch causes flexion of the hip and tightening the posterior arch causes abduction. Prevents adduction and extension of the hip. Supports the normal development of the hip joint by allowing the femur to sit within the acetabulum.
INDICATIONS
- It is used in the treatment of developmental dysplasia of the hip (DDH).
